Famous for its beaches and its semi-tropical climate, the northern coast attracts visitors most of all for its History : colonial cities, ancient civilizations. The Spanish created the firsts colonial cities with Piura, Chiclayo and Trujillo, with its colored streets and the Plaza de Armas. But the treasure of the region is in the ruins from the previous civilizations, before the Incas, some has more tan 5000 years, namely the olders of South America. You will be surprised by the Moches’ pyramids, ChanChan’s and Chimu’s ruins.
Regarding the cuisine, the variety of the sea-products makes of the region one of the best for the cuisine. On the coast, there are wild beaches famous in the entire world, ideal to do water-sports. One of the most famous is Mancora with its turquoise water, its white sand and nice hotels.
